About Rufus Mathew

Rufus Mathew is a Cloud DevOps Engineer at Paychex, one of the world’s largest fintech companies, helping all sizes of businesses grow sustainably. He graduated as Student Body President from Cedarville University’s NSA-accredited Cybersecurity program.

Rufus has previously lived in Bahrain and India before moving to the United States. In 2020, Rufus served as the development intern at the Acton Institute’s Emerging Leaders Program. During his undergrad, he was an Executive Council Member with the American Enterprise Institute (AEI). In 2019, Rufus was selected for the Temple of Understanding United Nations internship, where he attended open meetings of the UN Security Council and researched the correlation between a country’s digital infrastructure and its GDP.

Rufus is the co-founder of a stealth startup that focuses on sustainable agriculture education and inexpensive sensors. The mission of the company is to increase the productivity of the farmers and the food supply chains using AI and modern soil sensors. The first stage is translating agriculture documents online from English to minority languages.
